Rare meteorite crashed in Ireland
British media reported that, a large number of witnesses has witnessed a rare meteorite fall spectacle, a huge fireball glide in the sky, lighting up the night sky on February the 4th in Ireland.
It is reported that the meteorite’s falling speeds was up to 100,000 mph, the resulting impact is equivalent to the energy of a small atomic bomb exploding in the air.
DavidMoore working in Irish Astronomical Society said that this phenomenon happens very rarely, it may be a piece of rock detached from the mother after an asteroid collision with other celestial bodies. Meteorites fall is a more normal astronomical phenomenon, the size of meteorites can be as little as 1 mm, or as large as football field, because of friction, they enter the Earth’s atmosphere and caused a huge fire and light, and eventually only a few Meteorites can fall to Earth.
