The heat of summer is so hot, New York City had an idea, the giant garbage bins had been converted into a swimming pool, so that residents and tourists in the city center can be immersed in water and enjoy the cool free of charge in hot weather. Is that true? garbage bins into swimming pool? It is not only true funny affairs, but also greatly welcomed by the citizens. In Manhattan’s Park Avenue, usually bustling streets were closed for vehicular use in the first three Saturdays this month, replaced by three swimming pool converted by large garbage bins. This is New York City’s “Summer Streets” activities. In addition, equipped with changing rooms, around swimming pools, mobile shower room and toilet.
The width of each pool is 2.4 m long and 6.7 meters, can accommodate 140 people each, everybody can free swimming for 20 minutes.
Although they are converted from the trash, but very clean, and installed a filtration system, health requirements meet the standards. Around the pool also has changing rooms, outdoor showers, hammocks and couches, etc.. in the photo, some people were lying on the couch watching newspapers easily after swimming.
However, because the swimming pool are too popular, all 420 “swimming certificate” were sent over before 9am, many tourists having eaten cold shoulder had to wait in line. The pool is open from 7 am local time to 1 pm.

at home we have a kidney-shaped swimming pool that is well maintained, i love swimming on it all day long ..
