Funny portrait: make fun of portrait
A Greek businessman and art collector invited renowned painter George to paint his portrait. In terms of traditional aesthetic perspective, In the painting, the businessman is no neck, no mouth; cheeks is completely out of proportion, ears is green. But the Greek businessman very much appreciated this portrait, and put it on a prominent position near fireplace in the living room.
Now, more and more rich man like the alternative portrait. The artist seems to make fun of these portraits, but they do not worry about ugly portraits, personality portrait is most valuable for them.
In the past, the artists often focus on realism, or deliberately beautify character, in their paintings, the man is tall and stateliness, the woman is beautiful, child is sweet and lovely. This creative style is outdated in the eyes of some contemporary artists and collectors. The surreal and grotesque painting style exactly meet some collectors.
